THE STORY
Imagine you're losing a job you didn't even like anyway because AI is replacing you. Sure, on paper that sucks – but have you thought about the sheer freedom that comes with it?
Suddenly, all that stolen time is yours again. Time to do all the fun things, indulge in real art, and make some noise. Wouldn't that be nice? That bittersweet grin and liberation journey is exactly what "Always Smiling" is all about. And if you listen closely, you might realize that the whole thing is a bit delulu...
I'm Samy Braysel, an independent solo artist based in Lower Bavaria, Germany. It took me barely 5 minutes to write the first draft of "Always Smiling": The idea hit me like an urgent wake-up call from punk veterans while I was still stuck at work – I had to drop everything on the spot and frantically scribble down every single lyric they were whispering into my ear through the ether.
From that initial spark, I forged it into a full-throttle anthem by tracking drums, guitar, bass, and vocals in my own studio. Raw, unfiltered power straight from Lower Bavaria.
